Sydney Linux Users Group (SLUG)

What is SLUG?

The Sydney Linux Users Group (SLUG) is a place to learn about and discuss Linux. SLUG members are made up of professionals, semi-professionals, hobbyists, students and just those who like to play and gain knowledge of Linux and the vast number of freely available application packages. SLUG is about sharing experiences, knowledge and fun. SLUG caters for all levels, from those who are new to Linux, wanting to know how to install or set up Linux, to experienced kernel hackers and systems administrators.

What does SLUG offer?

• Monthly meetings
• Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
• A number of mailing lists for assistance with and discussion of Linux.
• Other events, including Linux installfests and workshops, and social events.

How can I help contribute to SLUG?

There are plenty of opportunities to help out with SLUG. We always need volunteers to assist with installfests and other activities. If you are interested in helping out, please joing the SLUG activities mailing list.
