This month's meeting will be at our new venue, the IBM building, Level 13, 601 Pacific Highway, St. Leonards.

So we can adjust to the venue, we ask that people arrive 15 minutes early so we can all get into the building and start on time.

Directions, photos, and maps will be posted in the coming days.

A committee member will also be standing outside the building to meet, greet, and provide directions to the venue.

Talks

General Talk: Conrad Parker - It's the super fresh and Free! Software!
Conrad's talk is a variant of the "Freedom of Automation" talk he presented at Software Freedom Day 2006, with some interesting technical stuff about Linux video applications thrown in. It will be Conrads last SLUG meeting for at least 3 years as he's leaving to study in Japan a few days after the meeting. Sayonara!

Technical Talk: Adam Kennedy - Parsing, Analysing and Manipulating Perl (without Perl)

For over a decade Parse::Perl, a Perl parser written in pure Perl has long been a glittering, intangible, but impossible dream...

But as it turns out, is was only "mostly" impossible.

In a talk first presented at OSCON 2005, and best described by one attendee as "incredibly exciting, once your head stops hurting", discover the new and exciting world of the PPI Perl parser, and find out all the new toys coming your way.

SLUGlets topic: FOSS Audio

Do you listen to stuff? Do you make noise? Whether you're a lover of music, or a hardcore audio developer, SLUGlets is the place to talk
about Audio and FOSS. This is your chance to show off your favourite
app for listening to or making music. People are invited to come up
and talk for 5 minutes, and share the audio love.
